There were a number of items the owners wanted to address in their backyard.
- The grill area was located off the back corner of the house. While preparing food for the guests, the "grill master" was seperated from his own gathering.
- The concrete and wood deck was tired looking.
- There was too much direct sun entering the kitchen windows along the back of the house facing the pool. It almost made it "too hot to be in the kitchen."
- The pool itself was in some need of updating for the kids entertainment.
- Because the pool was always uncovered, they were constantly having to drag a hose across the deck to add water. The owners did not want to cover the pool and sacrafice the look of the pool.
- The fencing was old and in need of maintenance. The existing fence also closed the pool area in and did not allow the owners to enjoy the view of the r

The overall look and functionality of the pool area was dramatically updated!
- Two pergolas over the new raised wood deck have multiple purposes. Blocking the sunlight into the kitchen, giving some shade area around the pool and covering the new outdoor kitchen and bar area.
- The colored cement along with the reflection blue liner really makes the area pop!
- Adding the slide and basketball game gave the kids (and adults) some new fun in the pool.

- Replacing the old wood fence with a maintenance free aluminum ornamental fence really opens the pool area up to the rest of the yard!
- Adding an automatic water fill line to the pool maintains the water level for the owners. No more dragging the hose out!
